Rowans Hospice provides end of life care across South East Hampshire. We help improve quality of life for the patient around the clock. We receive a very small level of Government support and almost all of the money required to provide our services needs to be raised through voluntary giving.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I reach the BIG 5-0 in August 2012, so I have decided to mark the last year of my 40s by running a marathon a month from September 2011-August 2012 to raise money for my favourite cause, namely the Rowans Hospice. So far, I have registered for the following marathons:

Sep: Somme (3:48:02); Oct: Brussels (3:38:39); Nov: Cognac (3:43:00); Dec: Portsmouth (4:07:22); Jan: Naples (3:44:47); Feb: Malta (3:55:13); Mar: Rome (3:49:24); Apr: Brighton (3:42:59); May: Salzburg (3:49:42); Jun: Caen (4:01:33); Jul: Isle of Man (3:50:24); Aug: Helsinki (3:50:49)

My family think it's a 'mid-life crisis' :-D, but if anyone is mad enough & wants to join me on any of these marathons, then you're more than welcome. Alternatively, if you just want to sponsor me, then it would be very much appreciated. Thank you:-)
