I'm fundraising to help ensure children get the best out of education. I've already seen in the upbringing of my adopted son David, who had a very tough start in life, just how vital the loving support of a family is. Through nurturing, guidance and discipline a young man developed into a responsible and determined individual. He brought up a family and gained a degree (aged 48) even through dramatically challenging personal setbacks that occurred. The stability of having grown up in a loving home enabled him to overcome extraordinary adversity. I've been inspired by his achievements and recognise what a great example he is for others. In difficult circumstances there IS hope. People DO care.
