John O Connell is raising money for Rotary Charity Fundraisers
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I have signed up to do Ironman UK. It is my first time doing anything like this and consists of a 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and a 42.2km run, all to be completed within 17 hours.
Whilst doing this for a once in a lifetime adventure, I am also doing it for a really worthwhile charity. My main charity partner is ’build4life’ which is a charity that does tremendous work for people with Cystic fibrosis. The charity was formed with the sole purpose of developing facilities for people with Cystic Fibrosis attending Cork University Hospital. They are now fundraising for specialised outpatient and inpatient facilities for Children with CF and currently have a shortfall of €800,000 for this life saving project.
