As many of you know, John has only just come to terms with the fact that he is now as old as the teachers that appeared to be born before The Crimean War.  Sally meanwhile has shaken him out of his torpor (or should that be, stupor) and, with lightning arithmetical genius, worked out that our combined ages total 100.  Obviously that makes me feel even better about myself now!

What better way to forget such trifles than to hold a big bash to celebrate/forget/lament/whoop the occasion.

At Sally's suggestion, she mentioned that rather than our guests shower us with gifts, it would be more worthwhile for anyone so inclined to support the charity with which I have been helping.  Rather than me witter on about the fantastic work that they carry out, you've all got Google.  Find out for yourself  about them and slip them a few quid in anticipation of a night to remember.

Thanks for doing that and we both look forward to seeing you on February 1st with your dancing and drinking shoes on!!
