Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Alain Demontoux and John Wood are undertaking the Big Black Mountain Challenge on May 14th 2022 in order to raise funds for Longtown Mountain Rescue Team. We are walking Route B which is 18 miles. LMRT are all volunteers and do a fantastic job of looking after those who get in to trouble on the mountains. They continually train and offer a free 24/7 service. I have had the pleasure of working with the team members in a medical capacity and have always been completely blown away with their commitment and dedication. Alain has spent many years hiking the Black Mountains and the Vale of Ewyas and seen first hand the great job Longtown MRT have done keeping people safe. They are truly amazing individuals and a fabulous team. BBMC
