Remembering John (Sean) Hanniffy

Joanne Hinton is raising money for Trigeminal Neuralgia Association UK
In memory of John (Sean) Hanniffy
It aims to provide information and support to members, and to raise awareness of trigeminal neuralgia amongst medical professions and the general public. Above all, it is there to provide hope and encouragement for patients who can feel isolated and depressed as a result of this excrutiatingly painful condition.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit John's JustGiving page.

As many of you know, John suffered terribly over the years with Trigeminal Neuralgia, trying a number of treatments that were sadly ineffective.

For those of you that don't know, Trigeminal neuralgia is sudden, severe facial pain. It's often described as a sharp shooting pain or like having an electric shock in the jaw, teeth or gums.

He would have to deal with debilitating pain on a daily basis and often stayed in bed when in pain as found lying down more comfortable.

It was dad's wish that, after he passed,  he wanted to help Trigeminal Neuralgia Association to continue to help others suffering like he did.
