Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My wife retired from nursing at Christmas 2010 and 18 months later she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. This is an aggressive rare form which had a devistating affect on both her physical and mental health. Her deterioration was rapid - she had great difficulty swallowing even before diagnosis, she lost the ability to speak after 2 year0s and she was confined to a wheelchair for her final 18 months of life. Five years after receiving her diagnosis we lost her on 22nd July 2017.
