We use leading edge scanners to accurately diagnose and monitor cancer

Story

Thankyou for visiting our JustGiving page and donating to our chosen charity in lieu of a wedding gift.

The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre is based at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood and is an independent medical charity with a world class reputation for accurate and early diagnosis of cancer and other serious diseases. In the past 27 years, they have undertaken more than 200,000 scans with leading edge PET/CT, MRI and CT scanners.

They receive no government funding and rely on legacies and donations to obtain new scanners costing upwards of £1m each. In recent years several of our family and friends have benefited from these scanners including my mum and auntie and recently our good friend Tony.

Early accurate diagnosis of cancer does save lives because the earlier a person is scanned the better their chances of recovery, survival and quality of life.

Please help The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre to remain at the forefront of technology, the centre needs to fund a continuous programme of scanner replacement to give their patients the best chance of life - please help us to do this in memory of our wedding day.

Thank you very much. With love from,  Julie and John x x x
