Update - We did it! All 5 of us within 24 hrs! ....see photos on the left.

It was tough, but we were lucky with the weather and the traffic (mostly).

I'd like to thank you for all your support and generous donations which really helped to motivate me, especially on the last mountain where I had to run at every opportunity in order to get down in time.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page where I'm raising money for the charity "Wish Upon a Star" who have helped my niece through a tough time. 

Wish upon a star's aim is to grant the 'Wishes' of children suffering from a life threatening illness, from the age of 2 to 16 and seeing the result of their work, I want to help them with this aim... a smile happens in a flash but its memory lasts a lifetime...

The sponsored challenge I'm preparing for is to climb the three highest Peaks in Great Britain within 24 hours including travel time. Starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland, moving onto Scarfell Pike in England and finishing with Snowdon in Wales - all without getting lost. We commence the challenge on the evening of the 11 June at the foot of Ben Nevis and need to complete Snowdon by 7pm the next day, in time for the England v USA World Cup football match - now there's an incentive.

I'm doing it with a group of 4 other Dad's from my daughters school, where we thought it was a good idea down the pub, only later finding out that it is a serious test of both a groups mental and physical stamina and you need to be very fit - which is a disadvantage before I even start!
