John Lewes

Anna Lewes is raising money for Country Days
In memory of John Lewes
COUNTRY DAYS at Leys Nature Reserve was conceived and set up to give young people in years 3 -6 an opportunity to explore, have fun and learn in the countryside. Outdoor teaching will not only encourage children to enjoy and appreciate nature but also to respect their environment.

Story

John (Johno) Lewes passed away at home in the early hours of Sunday 20th June 2021 after bravely facing a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Country Days is a charitable foundation established by a local benefactor and great friend of his, Ann Hadfield, which she bequeathed as as legacy for the benefit of local schoolchildren before her own diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

John was very proud to have been part of Country Days so donations in John’s memory will help them to continue their innovative and inspirational work.
