I'm overcoming my massive fear of heights to raise money for this great cause, Swindon & North Wiltshire Deaf Children's Society with a tandem skydive!

The charity's aims are:

To organise fun events, provide a great network of families, hold fundraisers and offer information and support to children who are deaf or have a hearing loss and their families in the Swindon & North Wiltshire area through its free membership scheme. They work closely with audiology and other professional organisations involved in the day to day care of their children and work hard to promote deaf awareness.

The chair of the charity is a family friend, Millie, whose 9 year-old daughter is deaf. The charity has given her the opportunity to make friends with other children who wear hearing aids so she doesn't feel so alone. It has given her exposure to different forms of communication, including British Sign Language and helped her to understand that we are all different, which has boosted her confidence no end!
