In January our daughter Victoria underwent a significantly risky operation in Southmead Hospital to attempt the removal of a Teratoma that had grown around her spinal cord and was causing her to gradually loose her mobility. The result of the operation has so far left her paralysed from the waste down but the long term hope is that given time things will start working again. She was transferred to the Salisbury spinal unit on 7th March with a view to spending at least 3 months in re habilitation. Having spent the last couple of months visiting Victoria we feel the spinal unit is in desperate need of additional equipment to help aid patients recovery time and so we feel we need to do what we can to help with the fund raising appeal.

Our goal was to raise £2000 towards the cost of a wheelchair which we understand is in the region of £5000 but as we have passed that target in the first 2 1/2 days we’re going for Gold, so  anything that you can donate however small will make a difference.
