Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I have done it again. I have only bloody got a place in the 2015 London Marathon!
I am really motivated to complete it for a second time, not only to beat my poor (first timers) time of 4hrs48mins but I now have another reason for raising money for a Cardiac disease charity (The Circulation Foundation). In 2013 I raised money in memory of my grandfather, who suffered with Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.
This year my My friend, colleague and mentor Rob died two months and five days after I completed the 2013 London Marathon from a Cardiac Disease. Which gives me added motivation to run for the Circulation Foundation.
After working for a short time of 6months at Aylward Rob took me under his wing and saw me gain full time employment at Aylward and inspired me to become a PE teacher. Now in my first year of teaching, I don't have anyone else I could say that has been a bigger influence on my career to this point.
Not only this, as a keen runner himself, leading up to my last marathon he would often send me motivational quotes such as 'Pain is only information to long distance runners' and 'To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift'
So with that in mind I shall give my best to run around the 26.2mile course and I hope you will support me during my training programme and beyond by raising money for the Circulation Foundation.
