London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
As you all know, I've recently become a little obsessed with running and thanks to my fellow running buddies, I thought it's probably time to put all that energy and effort to good use and raise a whole bunch of a money for a charity close to my heart.
This will be my first ever marathon and the longest distance I've ever run - so I hope I can make you all proud and raise as much money as possible!
In case you didn't know, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. They are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.
Having re-homed 2 dogs from Battersea - Honey and more recently Elsa, I've seen the work they do first hand and how much support they need. Also, who doesn't love cats and/or dogs...!?
Elsa (pictured above!) has also become my running partner for the shorter training runs, weekly Park Run in Nonsuch Park and has never once complained about the early start time, weather or my much slower pace!
With your help, support and donations they can continue their incredible work. Here's how:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails (phew!). Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Technology eh', isn't it marvellous!
Cheers,
Jon. x
