How much coast can you walk in 24 hours? · 28 May 2016

PSDS provides a wide range of essential services and support for children and young people with Down syndrome and their families. Through our "see potential, celebrate success" philosophy we change perceptions about what a diagnosis of Down syndrome really means.

Story

Last year myself and a friend (Rich) walked from Horley to Brighton for PSDS, This year we are going to push ourselves that little harder! Rich, Steven (Jons Brother) and myself are going to start off in Brighton and heading east along the coast for 24 Hours! Just to see where we get too! PSDS (Parents support children with down syndrome) is a charity that is very close to my heart and they deserve as much funding as possible.

PSDS fund DIGBIES which is a group that helps children with down syndrome with development needs and is also a great way for parents to meet other parents. For one child per term it costs the charity £1290 and all they ask in return is £100 towards the total cost.  The money that I would like to raise will help at least one child get the opportunity to have access for one term to three amazing therapist - Speech and Language, occupation therapy (very similar to physio therapy) and a early years teacher, as well as having the chance to make friends with other children, all rocking that magical extra chromosome. Not forgetting, it also provides amazing support for parents.

This is just a small percentage of the amazing work that PSDS does, so please dig deep and donate generously.
