Story
Hi everyone
It's that time again...
Awamu is a small social enterprise run by some very good friends of mine. In 2015 I visited Kampala and saw first hand the work the mums in the slums of Kampala are doing to ensure orphaned and vulnerable children get access to education. They also have a sweet shop, selling really cool clothing and Merch which you can buy too!
I will be running 20km trying to raise £500- which is only half of what it costs for one child to complete their entire primary education. It’s going to be a huge challenge as not only am I endemically lazy, I also have quite high cholesterol.
So instead of spending £20 on artisan cheeses this May, why not bung it my way and change the life of a human being who needs it?
Awamu is run solely by volunteers, and every penny I raise will go directly to pay school fees, buy uniforms and text books for kids with HIV, living in the slums in Kampala.
All donations are really appreciated no matter how large, so please give what you can, if you can! For an extra fiver, I'll track down Nigel Farrage and kick him in the head.
Cheers then
JB
