Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Matt (Donnie the Coach) left great friend Jonny Carr his cricket bat when he sadly passed away in 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer of the oesophagus. The pair had long shared a love of the sport and Jonny has had the bat lovingly restored ready for this year's season.
We ask that you pledge your support and encouragement for Jonny to score as many runs as possible this season with the bat. The more runs, the more cash for this wonderful charity, which continues Matt's amazing life's work by providing small financial grants to disadvantaged 16 to 25 year olds from Birmingham, to support them into work, training or education.
We would love you to sponsor Matt's bat for the 2016 season. You can either pledge an amount per run on our facebook group and then come back here at the end of the season and donate the corresponding amount. Or if you'd rather just pick an amount and donate that now, it's totally up to you!
Message from Jonny: "I will more than likely score between 500 and 1000 runs over the season. I'd love you to pledge an amount per run, even a penny a run would be great, and lets see just how much this mighty bat and my mighty swing can raise! Peace'n'love JC x"
