Story

Many of you will know that I suffer with three prolapsed discs.

Learning that I was afflicted with this chronic condition affecting my spine and left leg at the age of 25 was a big blow. And until recently, I was walking with a stick - unable to travel on foot for any distance, exercise was a write off, and it vastly affected my quality of life -particularly as prior to this I was very active.

Unfortunately it looks as though there is no permanent cure for my condition, and I am still unable to take part in many activities that I was before. Though I am hopeful that through further investigation, there may still be a chance that I can resume my normal level of activity.

Despite this
, I am adamant that regardless of my own state of mobility, I will be climbing as much as I can of the 1085m Mount Snowdon and back again, followed by a 2 mile kayak around Lake Padarn to raise money allowing for Alder Hey to purchase beds for parents accompanying their children in hospital.

For every £2000 raised, Alder Hey will be able to buy one bed. I hope you will be able to help me raise 0.25 of the cost of one of these beds to enable a parent to stay in hospital with their child.
