The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you or a loved one need practical or emotional support, call our Connect Helpline on 0808 802 6262, Mon to Fri between 9am and 4pm.

Story

Back in June of 2016 Gordon was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Motor Neurone Disease) and the MND association were there all the way to help Gordon come to terms with the diagnosis and to help plan his next moves.

Gordon is a keen walker and trail cyclist; high up on his list of walks he's always wanted to complete is the 267 mile Pennine Way. After the diagnosis he wasn't sure how much longer he would be able to walk, so after some discussion (and some persuasive beer) we decided to go for it and raise money for the MND association.

We are due to set out on this crazy adventure on the 11th April 2017 and are expecting to take 18-20 days to complete depending on how lucky we are with the weather.

Please help us in raising money for this great cause and we will, in turn, walk 267 miles.
