Anyone who has spoken to either of us in the past few weeks, sorry, make that months, is no doubt aware of us babbling on about cycling from London to Paris. Even though it must sound like a barrel of laughs, applying Vaseline to each others upper thighs every evening is not going to be fun - we are actually doing this for a good cause.
Action for Children supports and speaks out for the UK's most vulnerable, disadvantaged and neglected children and young people. Every penny we raise will go towards helping their services across the UK, so please donate! Any donation, however small, will really help. If you want to read more about the type of work and support that Action for Children provide please click here.
So, our ferry and Eurostar (Paris to London!!) have been booked and it’s now officially in the diary – on the 29th of July, we are cycling London to Paris!! Not a trip for the faint hearted, we are going to be covering over 250 miles, suffering from sore thighs and bums, and hopefully arriving in gay Paris three days later on the 31st July.
On top of this, we would like to point out that we are attempting this without any organised tour assistance. This is just ourselves, our lovely little commuter bikes and a couple of maps. Fingers crossed we make it to the Eiffel tower on time!
