Hi, thank you for taking a look at my page.

As you may have gathered from my picture, i like a challenge so i have decided to pick a new one. Having recently been told by my eye surgeon I will be forced to give up my favourite sport, MIxed Martial Arts I have taken the decision to take my dissapointment and channel it into something positive and maintain my own personal fitness at the same time. 

So here we are, on the 25th of September I will take part in the Nike Run To The Beat Half-Marathon and will be trying to fundraise as much as possible for the  Leukemia and Lymphoma Research Charity.

More than 50 people a day die from Leukemia but together we can make a difference and I'll tell you what I'll make it even easier for you to do so. I'll do the hard work i.e. the half marathon and you just click that little 'Donate' button on this page and give whatever you can for a more than worthy cause.

On a serious note let me show you what your money can do:

£10 will buy a simple kit to extract DNA from blood cells allowing them to identify genetic defects that can help them understand and treat blood cancers 

£100 will support a PhD student for one day to conduct vital research into blood cancers

£1000 will buy electrophoresis equipment needed to separate out vital DNA or proteins to carry out experiments on specific types of blood cancers
