We provide mental health support to children, young people and families

Story

In November, I was struggling with my mental health. I tried to get some help and was told I’d have to wait 14 weeks for NHS support. I’m blessed to have a boss group of people around me, who help without even probably realising it.

Not everyone is as lucky as I am. Male suicide is the biggest killer among young men, which is why I want to raise money and awareness, especially amongst lads. Starting on the 14th of August, I’m running 14 marathons in 14 days. All money raised will go straight to YPAS, a Liverpool based charity that help people under the age of 25 who may be struggling.

YPAS offer 1-1 therapy sessions, group sessions, drop-in services and much more. Their mission, is to improve mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. Last year alone, YPAS supported over 9,570 children, young people and their families. Any money raised will allow YPAS to help thousands more.

I completely understand not everyone is in a position to donate, especially with the cost of living continuing to rise. Just by having open conversations with people close to you, you’ll be helping.

Thank you so much.

Jordan.
