Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) supports everyone affected by cavernoma. A cavernoma is a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine. It is more common than many realise yet often unheard of. Our mission is to find a cure and to improve lives through support, information and research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are looking to raise money to help support families who's loved ones have discovered to have Cavernomas.

Who are we? We are four 'young' ladies, three sisters , Julie (Josef's mum), Joanne & Faye (Joe's aunties) and Joe's sister 'Hannah'.

In January 2012 at the age of 15 Joe had numerous major seizures where he had to be put into an induced coma. It was later discovered that he had multiple Cavernomas in his Brain.

We had never heard of this condition which in Joe's case as he has so many of them is extremely rare. For the last few  years Joe's life has been turned upside down, with his future plans having to change dramatically.

Joe is lucky that he has a very close family and friends who will continue to be there for him along the way.

The seizures and vacants still continue as the Doctors try to find the right medication and dosage hopefully this will be soon.

Josef is trying to get on with his life as best he can, he's a strong character that you can't help but love, a very charming young man who has ambitions and aspirations and we will support him along the way.

Raising money for this charity will help & we thank you so much for any donation given.

Thank you

Julie, Hannah, Joanne, Faye
