Cycle to Zero Malawi 2016

Story

On 28 May 2016, I will ride over 4 days through the lush Tea Plantations of the Southern Highlands of Conforzi to the heights of the astounding Zomba Plateau, finishing the ride along the beautiful shoreline of Lake Malawi at Cape Maclear, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in support of mothers2mothers and its cause of empowering women to eliminate paediatric HIV.

Cycle to Zero 2014 was en epic and life changing experience. I had the unique opportunity to visit m2m projects along the way, meet mentor mothers who shared their touching, powerful, tragic and yet inspiring stories, and observe their incredible work. I've known m2m for five years now and I strongly belive in their cause. I kindly ask for your support no matter how small it is and that you share my Page. Together we can empower women and eliminate paediatric HIV.

Malawi is one of the world's least developed and most densely populated countries, with a population approaching 17 million. An estimated 10.8% of the country's adults between the ages of 15 and 49 are living with HIV and the majority of them are women. The prevalence of HIV among women is 12.9% while prevalence among men is 8.1%.
