So while Andy was in Italy working on his dissertation I think he felt the need to get away from the books and suggested to me that we should cycle down the length of the country. I said yes and then continued life as normal.

When Andy returned from Italy recently he had not forgotten about his original plan... which brings us to now, here we are, bikes are packed up, the route is planned, and we're off to Scotland tomorrow. Facing a 1000 mile cycle with only a best guestimate of our finishing date.
