Story
After years of nights out at Pop Tarts, Notty House pies (and some studying in between), I've challenged myself to tick off something I never did when I was living in Sheffield - run the half marathon. It's quite a jump from the 5k Colour Run I did way back in first year, but after a lot of wintry training runs, I'm hopeful the hills won't get the best of me!
As well as it being a fun challenge, I've decided to raise money for a local charity doing great work for a cause I feel passionate about.
Emmaus Sheffield is a homeless charity that offers a much-needed sense of community for people who have experienced homelessness or social exclusion. It provides someone a home for as long as they need it, giving them a chance to work, deal with any issues they may face and often re-establish relationships with loved ones.
If you can, please donate via this page to help support the great work they do (and give me that little extra boost to get over the finish line!)
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure - once donated, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
