Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After watching many friends train and take part in marathons over the last few years I decided that this was the year to bite the bullet and give it a go my self!!!

Myself, 6 close friends and family have been training hard for 7 months through all extremes  -freezing cold (-11 with frozen nasal hair), 4 inches of snow, 25 degree heat and torential rain. There have been many highs as well as lows during training and I am now looking forward to the challenge of the Edinburgh Marathon on 22nd May 2011 with a fantastic group of friends who have trained with me and supported me all the way.

Originally I was not going to run for a charity but the more I looked into it I realised that my life would be taken over by 5 runs a week for 7 months. So I thought it would be a waste not to. Especially if I can raise money to help a charity that provides essential support to cancer sufferers and their families. It is a chairty that I have volunteered for over the last 10 years and I have witnessed first hand a number of people - close family, friends and colleagues - benefit massively from Macmillan Nurses and the amazing support they provide at very difficult times.

If you are able please donate as little or as much as you can to a very worthwhile cause. WISH ME LUCK!!

Thank you for your support.

Josie xx
