BT Tower Climb · 5 March 2016 ·

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

I was inspired at the start of 2016 to climb the BT Tower whilst thinking about personal goals for the year ahead.  Being a mum, sport enthusiast and geographer, I thought I could combine various passions whilst raising money for this great cause.

I have experienced first hand the incredible work that our health service provide children, that this is my way of doing 'something' to help.  My little boy Eoin (pronounced "Owen") had viral meningitis at 4 weeks old.  The care he received at that time and the follow up has been first class.  Thankfully he is doing great now although we are still monitoring other aspects of his health. These would not have been recognised had it not been for the expertise of our medical professionals.

If you are able to donate anything at all, it will help to buy pain relief pumps, ventilators to help weak children breathe and monitors for children in intensive care.

Thank you so much for your support.
