Nita's 10K Papyrus Page

Following the success of previous years of my 10K, I am running this again, despite having a degenerative spinal injury, seeing if I can break my previous best of 55mins!
As before, this is for James Chaston, Nita's cousin, who sadly passed away in February 2006; we hope to keep his memory alive through our thoughts and fundraising actions.
If anyone wants to join me, either running, jogging, walking, cheering me on, or just standing and watching as I speed on into the distance, then let me know!! All support is welcome!
Despite having a degenerative spinal injury (Degenerative Disc Disease which has trapped a nerve down my leg, causing constant pain, immobility, and muscular cramps), I remain as active as possible finding running, cycling, weight training and swimming a real help in keeping the symptoms at bay.
As I love to stay active and fundraise - why not combine the two!!
We are hoping to raise £1000 (from 2010 to this year) and are asking people for £10 - that's £2 per kilometre.
PAPYRUS: Prevention of Young Suicide
Not only do we hope to raise money for Papyrus, but we hope to raise awareness of this charity and the work that they do helping to prevent young suicides.Your donation is very much appreciated, and you can check out Papyrus's website to find out more about their organization here: http://www.papyrus-uk.org/
DONATING:
It's really easy - you can donate online by credit or debit card on this webpage, or you can make donation arrangements with myself. All donations are secure and sent to Papyrus, via JustGiving.
Once you donate, JustGiving send the money directly to Papyrus - make sure GiftAid is reclaimed on your donation (UK taxpayers only). It's the most effective way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting the costs for the charity.
THE FUTURE AND BEYOND:
I hope to keep this as an annual thing, and will keep you up-to-date with all fundraising news.Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
