Jubilee Year Two's Big Read

Year Two's Big Read · 8 November 2019
I am raising money to support educational activities in Y2 in Jubilee Primary School, by organising a "Big Read " over October half-term, and to help reach an overall target of trying to raise £1,000.
Our Year Two classes are trying to read as many books as they can - we all love reading and we all love reading even more now!
Everyone (we hope!) will be reading LOTS AND LOTS over half term.
The children are also being given individual sponsorship forms to encourage them to read, and to raise money together and we are going to do some activities around this.
The overall target is trying to raise £1,000 so that the children can enjoy a special Y2 history day and some science and geography workshop kits.
The Big Read is also about us (parents, children, and teachers) organising together, collectively, to see that together we make a difference and can reach our common goals - and to encourage reading and a love of reading. And the children will enjoy counting up money they raise through their sponsorship letters.
We have been speaking to the Y2 class teachers about what they would like. If the Big Read Project raises more than the target (which would be amazing!), I will adjust the target and ask the Y2 class teachers what they want to spend the money on to support our children this year. They are currently planning educational activities for the rest of the year, so now is a brilliant time for them to plan for how to spend all the money we raise. All money will go to these educational activities.
Please would you sponsor me organising this event and towards reaching the fundraising goal for a Y2 history day and some science and geography workshop kits.
Please note, you can't aggregate donations to your child and make them here and claim gift aid. Gift aid can only be claimed for individual taxpayer donations to the Big Read project.
All monies raised are going directly to the project. We hope that many parents, and friends/relatives, will feel able to donate directly to the project.
