Story

May 8th 2010 is the 65th anniversary of VE day.  To mark the occasion a group of Warminster military wives and serving women (me included!) will cycle 65 miles around Salisbury Plain.  None of us has cycled this sort of distance before and if the numb bottom and aching limbs I suffer on short training rides is anything to go by, it is going to be tough. Fortunately, we have all day to complete the circuit and there are cafe / pub stops planned en route. We aim to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity - BLESMA (British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association) which provides support to help deal with a sad reality of current Service life: http://www.blesma.org

Thank you very much for any donation you may like to make - it will make this challenge so much more rewarding for me and for BLESMA.

We did! It was the most amazing day. Who could imagine cycling 65 miles in the cold up and down hills (lots of them) could be so much fun. The "Blesma Babes" were fabulous cycling companions, the support team were amazing and supporters were there to encourage us just when it really matter. Thank so much you for your donation which has contributed to the team of 15 raising a fabulous total of over £20,000!
