Story
Our swim through Durdle Door was amazing. We had to delay 24 hours due to unsafe conditions but on the 30th it was a lovely morning. Five of us gathered on the beach and Lorna, Val's daughter, read a short passage from the bible before we set off for the swim. It was great to do this and think of Val and the pleasure she got from sea swimming. A day to remember.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am swimming through Durdle Door on 29th August in memory of my dear friend Val. Val loved the freedom of swimming in the sea and I would often go round and her wet suit and boots would be on the washing line. This is my way of paying tribute to her and raising a bit of money towards improving pancreatic cancer treatment for others. I will be swimming in her boots on the 29th!
