Cancer is such a cruel and indiscriminate illness that captures the very being of those it strikes.  I am sure we can ALL relate to the devastation this can have not only on the individual but on their families and friends too.  I have had several family members diagnosed, especially with breast cancer, along with too many friends that I care to think about.  One or too who were called from this life far too early!!  The saddest and perhaps most distressing experience and far too close for comfort was walking with my dad through his treatment for stomach cancer. Today, I view this as an absolute privilege but at the time the inner turmoil was over whelming.  At the moment two of my (female) neighbours are undergoing chemotherapy both of whom have lost their hair.  Both have also been in remission but unfortunately they are again fighting to recover.  When I thought about the indignity of ladies losing their hair I decided I could grow mine and donate it.  When I looked further in to it I decided that I would donate to the "little princess trust" as they cater specifically for children who have lost their hair through cancer.  I do hope that you will find it in your heart to make a donation, no matter how small because every penny counts.  Thank you to all of you who have already pledged a donation and may many more follow your example to make a difference to that one child.  Thank you xx
