Climbing Kilimanjaro for the World Land Trust

Firstly, thank you for visiting this page!
In late July this year my sister Faye, my mum Anne, our great friend Sheena Nicol-Acworth and I will be setting out to climb the highest mountain in Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro, in celebration of my truely incredible mum getting her free bus pass!
Such an undertaking provides a great excuse to further advocate and raise funds for what I believe is the most effective ecological and environmental charity out there, the World Land Trust.
The WLT strategically buys areas of rainforest and works with local NGOs (non-government organisations) to safeguard these areas for the future, often as permanent wildlife reserves. The main focus is on areas of high ecological importance such as those on migration corridors or inhabited by endangered species. So far the WLT has been "instrumental in the purchase and protection of over 500,000 acres, now protected as permanent wildlife reserves".
The World Land Trust is also a favoured charity of Sir David Attenborough: "The money that is given to the World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world than also anything I can think of. The World Land Trust, in my estimation, is leading the way".
This is an incredibly important charity, especially in this day and age where natural resources are heavily under threat and recession-crippled governments are increasingly powerless to help. Please help safeguard the natural world for the sake of the planet and future generations.
We are self-funded so every last penny you donate will go to the WLT!
The Just Giving blurb (your money is safe basically):
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
