CamSight is a Cambridgeshire charity that supports local people of all ages living with low vision and blindness. We work to enhance independence, improve well-being, and improve inclusion. We offer counselling, befriending, peer support groups to build our community and improve inclusion.

Story

As many of you know, my daughter Bethany, now aged 8, was diagnosed blind (severely sight impaired) at just 4 months old.

On top of all Bethany's complex needs I found it very difficult to find playgroups that understood Bethany's needs and how to stimulate her. I also felt alone.

At 2 years old I was introduced to the camsight pre school group, where both Bethany and I made great friends. They found activities to stimulate Bethany and arranged outings such as touch tours and visits to the pantomime.

Now Bethany attends the primary play group, still with her friends she has made over the years. Once a month they get together to socialise, interact. This fund raising will help to contribute to keeping these groups going (which are completely funded by camsight which is a charity) and help introduce activities such as massage story.

I thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any donations given is so much appreciated by myself, other families and camsight.
