Virgin London Marathon 2015 · 26 April 2015 ·

Sick, injured and homeless pets have relied on us since 1897. Thousands of abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured, pets turn to us for help every year. Our doors are always open to them, and with your support, they always will be.

Story

Hi everyone,

Thank you for visiting my page and hopefully making a donation! I've hit the "Big Five O" and I set myself the challenge of completing the London Marathon and raise as much money as I can for Blue Cross. It's an amazing charity which does such great work for all kinds of pets and provides veterinary treatments, behavioural help as well as rehoming. It even has a support line for those grieving for the loss of a much-loved pet.

When the going gets tough - after a few miles probably as my training plans have gone seriously wrong - it will be Daisy Girl and Schrodie Boy (pics below) who will inspire me to keep going. We rehomed them from Blue Cross Lewknor Centre nearly 2 years ago and they enrich our lives every day.

Every pound makes a difference so whatever you are able to give, a BIG thank you,

Julia
