Julia said "I have lived and lived well; a mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend". A life so much more than its last eighteen months.

After her acute myeloid leukaemia diagnosis in August 2016, Julia showed her usual courage and generosity, accepting the treatments and trials offered by the wonderful Haematology team at Nottingham’s City Hospital, giving her hope for a cure while knowing that should they be unsuccessful for her they would still contribute to knowledge which will save lives in the future.

One of Julia’s treatments was a bone marrow transplant, with a donor match found on the Anthony Nolan register. Julia wished for others with blood cancer to have the chance of a potentially lifesaving transplant and so we are asking you to donate to the Anthony Nolan charity in her memory.
