The Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon · 20 October 2013 ·

At YBTC, we walk beside anyone impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis through every step of their journey. Our local support brings comfort, care, and hope to families across Yorkshire- while our local research and investment in 'pump priming' brings us closer to kinder treatments and a cure.

Story

3 years ago my 20 year old sister unexpectedly had a seizure and was subsequently diagnosed with a brain tumour. 3 years, 2 operations and a course of chemo and radiotherapy later she's doing a lot better and is looking forward to getting married in 2015.

I've decided to support her by raising money for Brain Tumour Research & Support across Yorkshire.

All donations are gratefully received

Thanks,Julian

Update 21/10/13

I've now run the race, getting around in 2.42.39 and finishing 15th overall. New pb and the first time I've finished a marathon feeling as though I'd done the race justice so very pleased with that.

Thanks for all your support so far.
