People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments. Research is the only way to turn this hope into reality. Combining patient stories and scientific expertise, we fund projects that have a real impact, reducing side-effects, cutting treatment costs and ultimately improving outcomes.

Story

Dear wonderful, generous sponsors

Thank you so much for supporting my bike ride appeal and for helping me raise such a marvellous amount of money for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre.

I had a great time on the ride and the endorphins are proving far stronger than the inevitable aches & pains!

I'm overwhelmed by the kindness of family, friends and work colleagues.

With thanks and best wishes

Julian

Original message:

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've been living with prostate cancer since 2010. Family, friends and work colleagues have helped me keep on top of my cancer and to stay positive despite everything that the illness - and the treatments - have thrown at me.  Cycling has been pretty important too. Sometimes it seems as though I have two indicators of how I'm doing: my PSA blood test results and my Sunday morning cycling miles!  Will you help me turn my cycling into vital funds for prostate cancer research?  This ride will be my first 100-miler since 2010, so it's a real challenge for me. With your help on 27 April 2014, I can turn pedal-power into pounds. Thank you!
