Wheels on the Western Front – Ride to Arnhem · 9 September 2022 ·

We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

In early September, I will be joining a team of cyclists to cycle 335 miles from Dunkirk to Arnhem in support of the Army Benevolent Fund. I have spent most of the summer puffing up the hills of South Shropshire so feel in good shape and ready for the challenge.

Our route will take us to the Menin Gate at Ypres, Waterloo and then follow the path of the Allied Armies as they tried, sadly unsuccessfully, to meet link up with the Allied Airborne army at Arnhem. Further details are available on this link:-

I would very much appreciate any support you would be kind enough to give to this worthy cause, rather poignantly given the current events in Ukraine.
