Story
Yup, it's true... I'm going to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane in the name of a good cause!
A group of us at work (PwC's Uxbridge office to be exact) are raising money for the Urban Scholars Programme. This is a charity run by Brunel University, which works with pupils from inner-city schools to help them fulfill their academic potential... a very good cause, I'm sure you'll agree!
PwC will pay for the skydive, so don't worry... you're not paying for me to have a good time!! Anything you donate will go straight to the charity!
I will be jumping with a camera man so that I will have photos and a DVD to show you afterwards, so that you can scrutinise my facial expressions as I hurtal towards Earth at terminal velocity and my cheeks turn to jelly!
More information about using this site and the charity I'm fund-raising for is below...
If you would prefer to sponsor me by some other means (without using this site), please get in touch (julian_coulter@hotmail.com).
Thanks very much for your support!

More about the Urban Scholars charity:
The Urban Scholars Programme works over a four-year period (from 12-16 years) with pupils from inner-city schools who are perceived by their teachers as having high academic potential but are identified as being at risk of underachieving. The programme currently has 160 participants from nine boroughs and pupils attend for ten Saturdays and an Easter/Summer School in each year of the programme. The pupils are offered access to a study centre and counselling by University staff and where they will be coached with the necessary academic skills, motivation and self-esteem to enable them to achieve their full potential of acquiring high grades in their exams, with the view to obtaining places in Universities and subsequently entering professions which members of their families may not have previously considered. During the programme, the pupils also interact with successful people from the fields of medicine, law and business as well as careers advisors.
