We wanted to set up a fundraiser in Johnny's name that he would have approved of.  Friends of the Earth has been fighting for people and the planet for 50 years. It is a grassroots environmental campaigning community made up of people from all walks of life.

They fight for environmental and social justice, pushing for changes to make places more climate friendly and to increase access to green space and good environments for all.

Their campaigns for policy change have resulted in the provision of doorstep recycling and the introduction of the Climate Change Act.

They are working to prevent mass extinction of animals and to slow and stop the decline of our bee population. They are trying to reduce our reliance on plastic and to reduce pollution. They are working towards climate friendly trade and business, making sure people are properly paid and that the impact of goods is considered.

They deliver practical projects - planting trees with the aim of doubling UK tree cover, providing tools for local communities to help them to challenge decisions that are made that affect them and their environment.
