London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
I work at Age UK in the Laburnum Centre in Bognor as a hairdresser and have seen first hand the tremendous work that is done by everyone at Age UK to ensure our older generations are not only kept active but given a social life that can make all the difference. It was in joining the gym at Laburnum with the help and encouragement from friends made here, that I first became involved with running in 2016. It has made such a difference to my life, that it felt right, when running this years London Marathon, to raise money to help this fantastic charity.Due to the corona virus this year runners are doing a virtual run, on Sunday 4th October. I will start my run at West Park West Bognor and will run to Middleton, Elma, Climping, Ford, Yapton, Climping, Elma, Middleton, Bognor, Rosegreen finishing in Aldwick! The virtual run is timed and mapped, and finishers still get the London Marathon medal! Although we don’t get to run in London, we will still run our 26 miles and still have the great sense of achievement.
