Cancer is a disease that affects us all, often when we least expect it.

I lost my wonderful Nanny Joan to cancer in April 2017. Witnessing how this disease took a hold of her was heartbreaking. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to witness and deal with.

My brother Marc had Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2017. Luckily he now has the all clear. I lost a dear friend Andrew (32) in 2008 to Pancreatic Cancer, he was like a brother to me.

Our good friend Rob lost his wife Lisa to this awful disease only last year. She was a mother of two and only 36 years old.

I want raise as much money as I can to help one day find a cure for this cruel disease. Usually I'm adverse to walking anywhere - I even drive to the shops that are only five minutes walk from my house -so this charity trek is a leap into the great unknown for me.
