After seeing a SARA lifeboat on display in our local town and learning about the good work that SARA does, our 6 year old Son Elis decided he wanted to raise money for this charity.  

SARA, Severn Area Rescue Association, is a volunteer lifeboat and inland search and rescue charity, with lifeboat and rescue Stations along the length of the River Severn.

SARA do fantastic work conducting both lifeboat and water rescues and land and cliff rescues and their volunteers have been saving lives on and around the Severn for over 40 years. In 2018 SARA was called out 108 times

Our 6 year old son Elis wanted to do something to help this charity and we are very keen to help our kind, caring generous boy achieve this challenge and raise much needed funds. As Elis is a keen cyclist we decided a bike ride would be perfect!  

On Friday 1st November, Elis is going to cycle 50 miles of the TAFF trail from Brecon to Cardiff.  It’s a tough ask of one so young but we believe in him and believe he has the determination to achieve his goal.
