Staffordshire Women's Aid has been supporting women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence since 1976. This year is their 45th Birthday and their services are never more needed. With a 335% increase in requests for counselling and a 69% increase for refuge any donation will help to make sure they remain able to provide this essential service.As well as refuge accommodation this grass roots charity also provides counselling, specialist children's service, food and clothes bank, help with legal advice and housing, re-homing and much, much more. The support from the local community remains one of the most important ways in which Staffordshire Women's Aid remains open - and in the last 12 months, like many charities, fundraising events have been impossible.If you are able to support this incredibly worthwhile charity you will help to ensure that all women and children seeking help will receive it and that this vital service can continue into the future.

I will be walking 45k and running 45k (not all at once! I will be doing it throughout October and November) in time for Staffordshire Women’s Aid’s 45th birthday on 25th November 2021.
