I’m so pleased to share my great news I could burst. I have always had the dream of running the London marathon and have tried for the past 7 years to get a place through the ballot and each year like many others I’ve received the rejection email. 

Well this year is my year, yeah!, I’m so grateful to say that I’ve got a place through the wonderful ’Action Heart ❤️’ charity based at Russells Hall hospital. This year means more than ever, as lots of you know, I turned 50 a couple of weeks ago so I’ll be running the marathon in my 50th year which is exactly the same as my running hero - my dad did.
