I have always wanted to run 100 miles. I found someone crazy enough to want to do it too. My wonderful family, friends and colleagues suggested I should do it for a reason. My thoughts immediately turned to my local Dog and Cat Shelter in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. My first dog, OXO, came from the shelter. He shared our life for 15 happy years and he loved to run. We were lucky enough to be able to give him the loving home he deserved. There are so many cats and dogs still waiting for their second chance. The shelter gives them the time and space to find somewhere.
