In association with the Shot and Caught fundraising group we are hosting The Great Rathnure Bake Off.

 When we sat down to think of an event to celebrate Noreen what better than a Baking competition in her showrooms! We all have sampled her amazing baking and warm welcome so we are hoping to relive those happy memories at our Great Rathnure Bake Off on Friday the 20th of May. We have 5 chefs competing and it promises to be a night of fun and maybe a soggy bottom or two!

All proceeds will go to the CTRU (Clinical Trials Research Unit) in the Mater Hospital. The CTRU are researching and trialing cutting edge new cancer treatments, with the ultimate goal to get alternative treatments for cancer available in Ireland. We choose this charity as Noreen passed away from a condition called PVOD (pulmonary veno-occlusive disease) which was a direct side effect of the chemotherapy treatment Noreen was receiving. We have all been touched by cancer and have witnessed the suffering caused by chemotherapy and other treatments. Our hope is in some small way we can help others receive new effective and less destructive treatment for their cancer.
