My six fantastic years at Maidwell Hall will culminate in an extremely challenging three day sponsored walk where my year group, and I will aim to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity, Schoolreaders. 

As an avid reader, I am particularly enthusiastic about supporting this charity which  sets out to improve children’s lives by providing volunteers, for free, to give one-to-one reading practice to children in primary school. It is a proven fact that good literacy has a huge impact on a child’s life chances. It costs just £15 to provide a child with a weekly reading session over the course of an academic year. I wonder how many children my efforts may help?

Over three days we will be walking 55 miles of the rugged Pembrokeshire coast supported by some of our parents and three brave members of staff and we will be camping at night. The terrain will be very challenging and we will need to walk fast in order to arrive in time to set up camp in daylight and cook our supper. Not known for my athleticism, I know I am going to have to dig very deep to complete it. 

If you would like to help, I I would greatly appreciate any contributions - particularly as it would make me feel slightly better about making mum camp for three days! (Definitely NOT her natural territory).
